Wunderbar is looking for young people to help us create a public event called ‘Nightwalks with Teenagers’.
These Nightwalks have been happening all over the world conceived by a bunch of brilliant Canadians we’ve worked with before called Mammalian Diving Reflex (MDR).
Be a Platypus
Wunderbar already has formed Platypus, a young people’s group making Wunderbar projects. Now we’re looking for more Platypuses who will hook up with MDR’s young people’s group, The Torontonians who are heading here from Canada in July.
Together the Platypuses and Torontonians will develop ideas for an amazing Nightwalk that the public will be invited along to.
The Nightwalks With Teenagers
This project is about working together to create public events called Nightwalks With Teenagers.
The Nightwalks do exactly what they say on the tin – they’re are open, ticketed events where adults are led on a guided city walk at night by teenagers. What and how the walks evolve is up to the young people – that’s where you come in.
Ideas and plans will be developed in the workshop with the Torontonians in the week leading up to the events. So, if you’re a teenager and want to get involved in making a Nightwalk to remember, read on…
The deal
To take part you need to be:
- aged between 12 and 16
- free the week of 20 – 26 July 2014
- up for creating a unique experience so that adults can see the city how you see it
- good at having fun
- excited about meeting and working with a new group
It won’t cost you anything moneywise. All you need to do is show us you’re really into the project.
We’ve got 8-10 places up for grabs on the Nightwalks workshops. So just email us to book a place. If we get more than 10 applicants, we may do a sneaky (but cool) tiebreaker. Night night.
