With the launch of Platypus, our new project working with teens, this is a reminder – for us as much as anyone reading – of our ethos for Wunderbairns.
Following Haircuts by Children and the A SCHOOL projects plus two placements from Changemakers, we published this set of protocols for how we work with young people.
It is wholeheartedly ripped off of Mammalian Diving Reflex‘s own Protocols for Collaborating with Children – which they invite anyone to do. It uses the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child as a framework, and their experience of making incredible projects with young folk all over the world.
Their Young Mammals project was, also unashamedly, direct inspiration for the Platypus project.
So here it is. Hold us to it. And copy, copy, copy it.
