Amazing news. Great & Tiny War won Best Event Tyneside in this year’s Journal and Gazette Culture Awards.

We’re over the moon that Bobby Baker’s brilliant work has been recognised in this way. With Bobby’s approval, we dedicate this award to people all across the world whose domestic work goes unsung and everyone affected by transgenerational trauma caused by conflict.

It’s also shared with huge thanks to the amazing community of people who helped to make the work the success it was – including the tour hosts, the local community groups we worked with, our production team, commissioners 14-18 NOW, our funders, the people who nominated us and one very accommodating landlord. (The new tenants of 133 Sidney Grove will have an ongoing reminder as he’s kept some of the signage up in the back yard.)

We’re also super proud because Wunderbar and Bobby’s company Daily Life Ltd are both very small teams and this award is further proof that the thought and care behind our projects, and the people we choose to work with, is what enables us to punch so far above our weight.

It has been an absolute privilege for us to work with Bobby Baker and her team – here’s to all our future, ground-breaking, award-winning work.
